United States Veteran Baldwin transitioned Saturday, January 11, 2025. A visitation will be held at Pilgrim Rest Free Will Baptist Church - 1047 N. Ohio Avenue, Lakeland, Florida 33805 on Friday, January 17, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. with the Celebration of Life to follow. Interment will follow the Celebration of Life at Fitzgerald Cemetery - 5326 Jay Street, Lakeland, Florida 33813. Military Honors will he given at the gravesite.
Dr. Elbert Franklin Baldwin, Jr. was born on April 2, 1963 to Elbert Franklin, Sr. and Juanita Baldwin.
“Frankie” as he was affectionately known was employed with the United States Postal Service for 22 years. When he was not working he enjoying going to church.
“Frankie” was an ordain minister. He was ordained at St. John Primitive Baptist Church under Elder Dr. Robert Townes. He was member for over 28 years at Pilgrim Rest Freewill Baptist church. He served faithfully as a Sunday School Teacher, Chaplain of the Pilgrim Rest Male Chorus and served on the Ministerial Staff.
On Saturday, January 11, 2025, Frankie entered eternal rest. He was preceded in by his father: Elbert F. Baldwin, Sr.
He is survived by his loving mother: Juanita Baldwin; uncles: Willie Jones, Jr., Curtis Jones, Samuel L. Jones (Arienne); godson: Demetrius Jones; close brother and friend: Willie Clarke, close prayer warrior: Deacon Bennie Branton; the love of my life: Ms. Tina Townes and a vast host of cousins, nieces, nephews, church members and Class on 1981 - Kathleen, Lakeland and Lake Gibson.
